Never again will this flat host open-invite parties. Woke up today to FOUR unknown sleeping bodies, one at the foot of my bed, face down, whereas the other three defied principles of physics and smushed themselves together so that they could share our one and only couch for the night. Myra claims he didn't invite them, and I don't think Heath knew them either, but before I could even ask where they came from they'd disappeared.
I PREPARED A HEARTY BREAKFAST FOR ALL AND THEY JUST ATE AND RAN. No introductions, no thank yous, no apologies for party-crashing and early morning awkwardness. Nothing.
Nobody reaps the benefits of Kirley McCormack's doubt and gets away with it. No one.

Now I aint sayin that I haven't ever mistaken one thing for another, especially when it's morning and I just rolled out of bed and I'm still tryin to properly wake up and I hadn't had brekkie yet but..
Myra, was that YOU applying eyeliner and black gunk in our bathroom this morning? Or didya just bring home some eyesore with a strong resemblance to you? Cos you know, if you have something you want to tell me then we can sit and talk and I promise, no judgments will be made.

She's new (in the sense that she's never seen the inside of our flat before-- her year is actually 1968), original case, sonic blue finish, and mine mine MINE. Mint condition Jag. When I first saw her, I was in a state of disbelief. Myra had to slap me in the face twice before I could believe that it was really REAL and there and tangible and MINE and not just a trick of the mind.
Whoever sent it, you're my new personal hero. Definitely ranks as the highest in best birthdays. Tied with my 16th. Gladys Gudgeon and an empty broom cupboard.
Enough said.
Now. WHO'S HELPING ME NAME HER?
